Getting Your Campaign Started
Who can start a fundraising campaign on Give.Asia
- Individuals raising funds for themselves, family, or friends in genuine need (e.g., medical treatment, education, emergencies, pet care).
- Authorized representatives of charities raising funds for an official cause.
- Note: You must be at least 18, or have a parent/guardian as co-fundraise
What’s the difference between Personal and Charity fundraisers?
- Personal: Funds go directly to a verified payee (for example, a hospital, vet, or school’s bank account).
- Charity: Funds are routed directly to the charity’s registered account. These are often tax-deductible for donors.
Campaign Requirements
What do I need before I start?
Prior to starting your campaign application, prepare the following:
- A clear campaign title (include the beneficiary’s name and urgent need).
- A fundraising goal in your chosen currency.
- A few strong photos (well-lit, recent, with consent).
- Supporting proof such as a hospital letter, vet bill, school fee invoice, or charity authorization.
- Proof of financial need and a simple breakdown of the target amount.
- Proof of cause (documents showing diagnosis, situation, or project).

Managing Your Campaign
Can I edit my campaign after it’s published?
- Charity campaigns → Yes, you can edit your story, photos, and fundraising goal anytime. You can also post updates directly.
- Personal campaigns → The campaign text must first pass through compliance checks. Once published, only minor edits (such as fixing typos or updating goal amount) can be made. If larger edits are required, you’ll need to contact your Case Supporter to request the changes.
Recommendation: Always finalize your campaign story and details before publishing, since significant edits may not be possible afterward.
Is it a must to set an end date for my campaign?
No, you are not required to set an end date upfront. Many fundraisers keep their campaigns open until the goal is reached or the situation is resolved.
However, to keep your campaign active and trusted:
- You should post updates at least every two weeks to inform donors about progress.
- If donors or Give.Asia supporters reach out but the campaign owner does not respond or post updates, Give.Asia may end the campaign.
- Regular updates (with photos, receipts, or short notes) are the best way to keep donations coming and show accountability.
