What to do if you can’t attend a volunteer activity you signed up for

Who this is for: Volunteers who have already signed up for an activity but later realise they cannot attend or signed up for the wrong schedule.

Why it matters: Letting us know as soon as possible allows the organiser to make adjustments or offer your spot to someone else.

What you can do:

  • Use the chatbot

  1. On volunteer.give.asia, click the chat bubble at the bottom right of the page.

  2. Select Ask and let us know you need to cancel or reschedule.

    Please include:

      • Your full name
      • The email you used to register
      • Activity title
      • Date and time of the activity
      • Reason for cancellation
  3. We will contact you as soon as possible via email.

  • E-mail us directly

  1. Send an email to [email protected]
  2. Use the subject line: Volunteer Activity Cancellation or Reschedule

    Include the same details:

      • Your full name
      • Activity title
      • Date and time of the activity
      • Whether you’d like to cancel or reschedule

Additional Notes

  • Tell us early — the sooner we know, the easier it is for organisers to make changes.
  • No penalty for cancellations — things come up, and that’s okay. Just keep communication clear and timely.
  • Future opportunities — cancelling doesn’t stop you from signing up again later.
